At the Paris Motor Show concept Saab 9-X Air

According to well informed, at the Paris Motor Show next to the door now, General Motors is preparing to publicly unveil a new concept very interesting to be presented under the brand Saab (Swedish company that is controlled by General Motors).

The new vehicle was called 9-X Air and has a design that draws much the 9-X BioHybrid made by the company at the Geneva Motor Show. The main difference, however, the total absence of the roof.

Unfortunately not yet know detailed information about its technical characteristics, but spread to the first network to allow photos to appreciate the aesthetic appearance until its doors open the exhibition in Paris.

We do not even know if the vehicle mount a canvas roof or in a more advanced, but since this is a concept we are oriented towards the second option. We shall see.

Saab 9-4X: will be produced in series as from next year

At the exhibition industry in Detroit held last January, Saab presented to the public a new concept, we are talking about the model 9-4X BioPower.

Well, according to some sources, the company, given the success of public obtained during the presentation, decided to produce in series as early as next year.

The official presentation of the model in series that ricalcherĂ  fully the concept will in all likelihood already next year at the exhibition industry in New York.

The new car is a sport utilities on which Saab tip much as will fit in a very difficult segment and battagliare with aggressive competitors such as the Audi Q5 or gLk of Mercedes.

We just have to wait for the next exhibition in New York to know the date of marketing and price list.

Saab 9-X BioHybrid: “Concept car of the Year”

Important award obtained in these days of the carmaker Saab. Its prototype Saab 9-X BioHybrid was elected “concept car specialist of the Year” in America following a vote in which they participated in a jury of 25 specialized journalists.

The concept in question was rewarded for its futuristic design but also and especially for innovative technologies presented the first among all the 1.4 turbo BioPower engine that releases a power of 200 horses and that is combined with an electric motor that provides CO2 on the very limited (maximum 105 g / km) through the use of ethanol as fuel.

Obviously satisfied with the Swedish home through Roger McCormach, chief executive of the company, thanked journalists pointing out the vehicle in question has also obtained the consent of the public during his first official appearance at the Show in Detroit. We just have to wait for an official to see if and when the new vehicle will be produced in series.

Even in Italy debuttano the Saab BioPower versions fired with the E85

t seems that Saab believe blindly in bioethanol E85 as a form of fuel that could supplant gasoline. After debut in several European countries versions of the models BioPower Saab 9-3 and 9-5, the company has decided to take the plunge in Italy when in La Spezia was inaugurated the first official distributor of bioethanol E85.

The benefits are undeniable dell’E85 as this not only pollutes less fuel, but makes it even more brilliant performance engines ensuring higher.

To make you understand the difference: the limousine 9-5 BioPower from 2.0 litres can achieve 0-100 km / h in just 8.5 seconds differently from the same model powered by petrol which needs at least 9.8 seconds.

The prices of BioPower versions start from 35,600 euros for the basic version up to 41,100 euros for the super-equipped.

Agreement between Volvo and Saab to achieve an electric car

Environmental protection is very important so that many car manufacturers are working hard to achieve ecological car that can not pollute or do so only limited.

Even in Sweden, green for excellence nation have at heart the problem so that there was an agreement between major car manufacturers, the government and electricity suppliers to develop a series of car can move without polluting the ‘environment.
