The limit of alcohol allowed for driving could get lower
Other December 17th, 2008
As we said a few days ago, one of the main causes of road accidents that occur on our roads is linked excessive alcohol in the blood due to a glass of wine or beer too.
And ‘why Mario Calducci, Chairman of the House Transportation Committee, has recently submitted a bill that could insaprire further penalties against those who abuse alcohol before they get to drive.
In particular, the proposal provides for the reduction of the limit of alcohol in the blood permissible by law, bringing it from 0.5 today to 0.2 grams per liter.
A proposal which, if approved, could significantly reduce the number of glasses of wine or beer that every driver can drink before you get in the car without risking the immediate withdrawal of the license.
For more sentences could be further tightened to discourage drivers to drink before you get to drive. We shall see.

Other December 16th, 2008
In national and regional news you hear talk almost daily, of traffic accidents, fatal or otherwise, caused by the driver who was driving under the influence of drugs or a strong dose of alcohol.
An alarming situation given that according to some statistics 50% of road accidents that happen in our country is due to one or both reasons mentioned above.
For example, in hospitals Niguarda in Milan arrived in the period between March and September 2008, 74 drivers who had had an accident. More than 50% are found positive to drugs or the test apparatus.
One thing that should reflect the Government to intervene by engaging in drastic measures that may discourage the occurrence of such incidents every year that lead to the death of many innocent people.
