Alfa Romeo: the debut in the American market sled to 2011

Alfa Romeo October 23rd, 2008

alfa-romeo.jpg

A few weeks ago we reported the news that the debut for Alfa Romeo in the American market would have happened in 2010 to coincide with the centenary of the foundation of society.

And instead, almost unexpectedly, you find that the debut of Alfa Romeo in America will not happen in 2010 but by 2011.

The announcement was made today by Fiat Group during the presentation of the quarterly results of companies (for the record discrete but not excellent). The presentation slides camp, in fact, a period that does not create any doubt:

“… The core of the 2007-2010 plan are not affected by temporary diversions planned in 2009, except for the return of Alfa Romeo on the U.S. market, postponed to 2011 …..”

Of course, no explanation of why that has prompted the company to post a year, the official debut, let us therefore wait for any other official who can better explain the situation. We keep informed.
